Four years ago today, I landed at Dublin Airport on my first trip to Ireland. It’s not hyperbole to say that my life changed that day. I quickly fell in love with Ireland, and I dream of finding a way to live there. I returned with a friend a little more than a year ago, and I hope to go back many, many more times. Unless I find a way to move there.
Facebook reminded me of that trip this morning when it served up a set of photos as today’s memory of the day. This is one of my favorite features of Facebook, and today it didn’t disappoint.
This collage is random (thanks, Facebook) but completely representative of this wonderful country filled with history, green-green-green landscapes, rocky coastlines, ruins, pubs, music, and the friendliest, nicest people you could hope to meet. Pardon me while I gush.
When I returned a year go, I wrote almost every day I was there, but didn’t actually publish the posts because I lacked good photo editing options on the device I was using to scribble. I meant to publish when I got back, but decided not to. I might return to them in the coming days and publish a #latergram travelogue. Meanwhile, here are a few photos from that first trip.
